Indigenous Love Borderline - Unisex Long Sleeve T-shirt
This Indigenous Love shirt will help support an Indigenous charity. Five dollars of every "Indigenous Love" item sold will be donated.
Let's take a moment to become more informed, donate, collaborate or whatever it is you can do to support this day-- Not just because it's National Truth and Reconciliation Day, not just because the Indigenous peoples have suffered---It's because we have empathy, we believe in truth and giving back what is deserved.
Let's remember those who were forced out of their homes and placed in residential "schools." This "school" forced the Indigenous peoples to abandon their culture and assimilate into European culture---Such a tragedy.
I am reading, "They Called Me Number 1" by Bev Sellars. It's a soul-gripping memoir of her life at the Residential "school." I recommend it. Lots to learn. I really didn't understand how deeply evil and wicked these "nuns" and "teachers" were through the institution. I now understand and appreciate Bev's strength and the others that came before and after her. Man, you gotta read this!
We pray for the survivors and we lend our support by donating $5 to every "Indigenous Love" item sold at www.sdhtoronto.com until Nov. 1, 2021.
